Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction from the General Manager:

Slavery & Human trafficking remains a hidden blight on our global society. We all have a responsibility to be alert to the risks, however small the business. We need to be conscious of the wider supply chains and carry out all the necessary checks with due diligence. We have pledged to trade ethically and responsibly, making sure that we only commit to trading relationships with like minded companies and individuals.

As a small fledgling business, we are not yet required by law to engage with protective principles. However, we feel no matter how small we are as a business, we can still take time to care. We want to build a company on strong foundations and believe that we can all be a part of making the world a better place, protecting the vulnerable whenever possible.

Our Policies on Slavery & Human trafficking:
We are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery & human trafficking in our supply chain or any part of our business. We are committed to being ethical and acting with integrity in all our business relationships. Implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure that people our safe within our trading practice.

Our business principles for Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we:

Build long standing relationships with our suppliers and customers, making clear our
expectations for a high standard of business behaviour.
We investigate any potential customers to ensure that they are trading ethically.
We have safeguards in place when purchasing from suppliers. Our policy is to search for
ethically produced, fair traded, environmentally friendly products. For our connections in
China we have an English agent who spot checks factories, premises, working conditions
and safeguards our interests in that region, carrying out audits to assess compliance with
Global Sourcing Principles.
Our policy is to buy on quality and not price, having carried out all the due diligence we
expect to pay the fair price for an ethically produced product.
